From the first engagement, Nemoland - behind the scenes of science fiction and fantasy, the idea arose to put a face on that art that is known as "Backstage" or "Invisible Art", or to be more precise all the work that encompassed the research, study, graphic and stylistic planning, the final layout and final rendering in the world of entertainment.

Workshop and meetings directly with professionals in the field gives the public the possibility to know and more importantly experience the secrets that are "behind" the production of comics, animated cartoons, and cinematic special effects.

Preview of "the making of" various important animated films, new TV series, but also a look back at traditional animation.

Pescara June 3/4/5 2004, at the  Porto Turistico Marina di Pescara e l'Auditorium De Cecco. The event, proposed by the consortium of  Adventurage e Visualia, and promoted by the Camera di Commercio di Pescara and the Comune di Pescara - Assessorato alla Cultura.

This first edition of Nemoland 2004 "behind the scenes of science fiction and fantasy" was a  great success as it was honored to have many professionals and an exception guest like Giuliano Cenci.

Fans from all over Italy met in the flourishing town of Pescara to meet the artists of fantasy cinema. Thanks to the collaboration of the Camera di Commercio and the municipality of the city it was possible to organize this meeting with numerous school children

Exhibition "X - Art, Invisible Art"

Through the presentation of original project boards and prints in the phases of work, the visitors will encounter reproductions of monsters, aliens, and spaceships as a tangible form from the 3-dimensional cinemagraphic realization and transposition of the sculptural designs

From here we begin a voyage to the inside of the finalization and of backstage effects that belong to the field of make-up, that is make-up that transforms, creating monsters and aliens of the world of fantasy and horror films. All of this will be represented focusing on the art of the pre-visualization and sculptures following the themes of aliens, monsters and spaceships.

On show will be original boards by artists that, in the course of their experience, confronted various themes within science fiction and fantasy.
